Cary Todd Williford

Cary Todd Williford, born October 26, 1967, in Heidleberg, Germany, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2026. His untimely departure leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Cary is remembered foremost as a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Misty Williford, with whom he shared countless cherished moments. Cary’s pride and joy were his sons, Ky Williford and Jake Williford, as well as his daughter-in-law Jordan. He reveled in his role as a grandfather to Hadley Williford and Striker Williford, building bonds that will be treasured always. Cary is also survived by his brothers, Wesley and Cory Williford, and his sister-in-law Amber. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Ronald Williford, whose memory remained close to Cary’s heart throughout his life.

Cary’s life was distinguished by a remarkable blend of dedication, resilience, and adventure. He graduated from Academy in 1986, making his mark as an exceptional athlete and breaking many track records during his school years, and received the FFA Lone Star Farmer Degree Award—a testament to his determination and skill.

Shortly after high school, Cary answered the call to serve his country, joining the Navy in 1988. Stationed in California until 1992, Cary’s commitment and excellence did not go unnoticed. He received numerous honors during his service, including the Battle "E" Award, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Humanitarian Service Medal, Expert Pistol distinction, and the Good Conduct Medal. These achievements reflected his dedication to service and his unwavering sense of duty.

Upon returning home, Cary continued to exemplify a strong work ethic and a love for the land. He obtained his CDL and worked at Bell County Road and Bridge Crew for the past several years.  He found great fulfillment working on the farm, tending to cattle, and breaking horses—work that connected him to his roots and resonated with his passion for hard, honest labor.

Those closest to Cary will remember him most for his profound love of the outdoors. Camping, fishing, and riding his motorcycles were among his favorite pastimes. Date nights with his wife Misty were occasions for adventure—dancing, outings, cook-offs, hiking, and simply enjoying the beauty of nature together. These shared experiences were a reflection of his zest for life and his appreciation of simple joys.

An accomplished man of faith, Cary was a dedicated member of the 3C Cowboy Fellowship Church, where he found community and spiritual kinship.

Among his proudest accomplishments, Cary cherished his role as a father above all, nurturing strong and loving relationships with his sons and guiding them with affection and wisdom.

The remarkable legacy Cary Todd Williford leaves behind is evident in the love he fostered within his family, the honor with which he served his country, and the connections he made in the community. His presence will be deeply missed but his memory will endure in the hearts of those who had the privilege of sharing his journey.

Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026  from 4:00 - 8: 00pm at Young's Daughters Funeral Home.  Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 30th at 3C Cowboy Fellowship Church at 11:00 am with Pastors Larry Dick and Danny Brey officiating. A fellowship meal will be held after service. Procession to Central Texas Veterans Cemetery will commence at 1:00 pm where committal services will be held at 2:00 pm.
