Charles T. Chapman, a dedicated father and respected veteran, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, in Belton, Texas, surrounded by his family. Born on June 9, 1959, in Sioux, Iowa, Charles exhibited a strong will and unwavering determination throughout his life. He was not only proud of his role as a father but also committed to building a legacy for his two sons, Dylan Price and his wife Tessa Schneider, as well as Eric Hillhouse and his wife Genna Gendron.
Charles started his journey in education by graduating from high school before enlisting in the United States Army. His military service was marked by commendable dedication, as he advanced to the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSG) and proudly served for 23 years until retirement. His experiences during that time contributed significantly to his character and values, making him a man known for being tough but fair, always prioritizing the well-being of his family.
In addition to his military career, Charles embraced the joys of life outside of duty. He had a zest for adventure, demonstrated through his love for riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and target practicing. His keen interest in reloading his own ammunition showcased his meticulous nature and hands-on approach to his hobbies. A proud lifetime member of the NRA, Charles held a deep love for history, which reflected his appreciation for knowledge and the stories of the past.
Charles’ legacy lives on through his cherished family. He is survived by his beloved sons, Dylan Price with his wife Tessa Schneider, Eric Hillshouse with his wife Genna Gendron; his brother, Daniel Chapman, and his sisters, Marty Menard and Rae Monroe, along with four adoring grandchildren who will remember the strength and love he instilled in each of them.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Lola Pollack Maedarrow, whose memory remains a guiding light for his family. Charles T. Chapman’s presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will forever resonate in the lives he touched and the legacy he created.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm, and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:00 am at Young's Daughters Funeral Home. A burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery
