Christye Joy Stevenson,
Christye Joy Stevenson, born on December 25, 1976, in Columbus, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Killeen, Texas. She leaves behind a legacy characterized by her unwavering faith, dedication to her family, and love for God.
A proud graduate of Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, Christye continued her educational journey, earning an Associates degree in Business. Her thirst for knowledge was only rivaled by her passion for serving God, which was the true mission of her life. Christye was deeply committed to her faith, dedicating substantial time to reading the Bible and exploring literature focused on God and Christianity. Her profound dedication to Christ inspired those around her, reflecting her heartfelt desire to share her faith with others. She was a proud mother and grandmother. Her hope is that the family will be reunited in heaven with the love of Jesus.
Christye's interests included listening to praise and worship music, which connected her spirit to her faith, as well as an enthusiasm for crime shows and action films that entertained her during her downtime. She embraced her role as a family woman, taking immense pride in leading her family to God and cherishing the moments spent with them, especially in her final days surrounded by loved ones.
She is survived by her estranged husband, Enrique Stevenson; two sons, Joshua Marcel Parker, who is married to Alishba, and Ryan Gabriel Stevenson; two brothers, Michael Passmoore, who is married to Georgia, and Otis George Stephens Jr.; one sister, Connie Denise Grafton; three nieces, Hannah Grafton, Auriannah Fluellen, Naomi Rose Stephens; one nephew, Otis George Stephens III, and two grandchildren, Marcello Parker and Cairo Parker.
Christye’s life is celebrated not only through her achievements and interests but also through the enduring love she fostered within her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis George Stephens Sr. and Dorine Parker Stephens, who undoubtedly shaped the remarkable person she became.
In remembering Christye Joy Stevenson, we honor her devotion to her faith, her passion for life, family, and the warmth she shared with those fortunate enough to know her.
A special thank you to her sister, Connie Grafton for being the ultimate caregiver during her time. and those who are helping with the memorial services to include, Lynn Sanders, Blanche Baldwin along with all others in their support and prayers for the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sabrina Young at Young's Daughters Funeral Home and Bereavement Center in Temple, Texas.
