Fernando "Nando" Lopez, a beloved son, husband, father, and brother, passed away at his home in Temple, Texas, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on January 28, 1987, in Temple, he was a cherished member of the community whose laughter and dedication to family will be greatly missed.

Nando learned the trade of Spray and Rolled insulation and began his career working in Belton before transitioning to warehouse operations with Amazon, where he contributed his hard work and positive energy. A proud graduate of Troy High School, Class of 2005, he exemplified the values of perseverance and commitment in both his professional and personal life. In 2015 he met the love of his life, Mayra Ortiz and together they united their children and together in union they have their daughter. He was so proud to have more children and have a loving family. They enjoyed going to the lake and the simple things like watching movies as a family. Nando was known for his humor, often joking around with friends and family. He was characterized by his blunt honesty and his ability to bring people together during the holidays, hosting joyful gatherings that created lasting memories. His dedication to his family was unwavering, as he took great pride in his role as a husband and father. Nando had a variety of hobbies that showcased his playful spirit. He loved playing video games across multiple consoles, with a special fondness for the iconic Zelda series. His passion extended to collecting old gaming systems and Pokemon cards, ensuring that he was always entertained, whether through his gaming adventures or enjoying board games with family and friends. Nando's sweet tooth was well-known among loved ones, as he relished desserts during meal times. He had a great love for pets to include his bird, Snipe!

He is survived by his parents, Jose Lopez and Juanita (Fernandez) Lopez, his beloved wife of ten years, Mayra Ortiz, and their three daughters, Emillia Lopez, Marisol Lopez, and Neyshmarie Caban, as well as their two sons, Nelson Caban and Edwin Caban. He also leaves behind his brother, Jose Lopez, and his wife, Francis Barrato, along with four loving sisters: Angelina Lopez and her husband Angel Lechuga, Maria Lopez and her husband Junior Cortez, Maritza Lopez and her husband Santiago Rodriguez, and Jessica Lopez and Rolando Salazar.

His journey was not without challenges. Nando faced significant health issues, diagnosed with Sclerosis of the liver, which ultimately led to kidney failure. However, he approached his battle with courage and faith, finding solace in his Catholic beliefs as he united with the Lord.
