Ilene Phyllis Kaplan

ILENE PHYLLIS KAPLAN February 7, 1941 ~ August 22, 2026

Ilene Phyllis Kaplan was born on February 7, 1941, in Brooklyn NY, to Louis and Sally Remson. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the age of 85, in Waco. 

Ilene spent many years working in the insurance industry and owned an employment agency, while raising her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, needlepoint, and the outdoors. She loved her pets, especially dachshunds. 

In 1962, Ilene married her love, Samuel Joseph Kaplan in Brooklyn, NY, and together they had 2 children, and were married for 52 years. 

She was preceded in death by husband, Samuel Joseph Kaplan, and her parents, Louis and Sally Remson.

Ilene is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Nelson and husband Bryan of Troy, and Alise Kaplan of Temple, and her brother Howard Remson in NY.
