Jaime Faz Garcia,

Jaime Faz Garcia, beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Temple, Texas, on Saturday, July 11, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1965, in Villa De La Paz, Mexico—a place that would always hold a special place in his heart.

Jaime's journey through life was marked by resilience, generosity, and an enduring commitment to those he loved. He began his education at San Luis Seminario and continued with studies beyond, dedicating himself to learning and growth. In 2000, Jaime made the courageous decision to move to the United States on a work visa, seeking new opportunities in Texas. His journey also took him to New Orleans, where he learned English and took to the rhythm of a new culture. Love brought him back to Mexico to be with his wife, Ma Ines Martinez, and together, their shared dreams brought them back to Texas in 2017. In their new home, they worked side by side to purchase and lovingly remodel a house—transforming it into the sanctuary they cherished.

Professionally, Jaime was known as a skilled carpenter and handyman, fondly referred to as a "fixologist" by those who knew the breadth of his talents. He served his local community with dedication and pride, always ready with a helping hand or a clever solution.

Jaime’s faith was the cornerstone of his life, and it was in service to the church in October of 1996 that he met Ma Ines, the partner with whom he built a lifetime of adventures and steadfast love. From their early friendship, kindled while serving the church, their bond blossomed into a partnership of faith, laughter, and deep mutual respect. Their story is rich with shared memories: preaching at church, exhilarating motorcycle rides, and years spent growing together. They were officially married in 2013, but for Jaime and Ma Ines, their union had been a fact of the heart from the very beginning. Jaime cherished God first and Ma Ines second, holding steadfast to this order throughout their lives together.

He found deep joy in his family and was especially proud of his role as a father. He treasured his children—Jose Isabel Faz, James Faz, and Zeny Thomas Faz—celebrating every milestone and memory. He shared a profound, special bond with his daughter, Zeny, a blessing he often recounted with gratitude; Jaime would recall the night he prayed for a daughter and the fulfillment he felt when his prayer was answered in 2002. Jaime welcomed his daughter-in-law, Kaela Benson, and son-in-law, Jonathan Thomas, into the family with warmth and open arms. He is a beloved grandfather to his three grandchildren, Luna, Aurora, Yaneli.

Jaime’s siblings, Juan Pablo Faz and Fransisco Javier Faz, and his sisters Estela Faz Garcia and Maria Guadalupe Faz Garcia, along with in-laws Amelia Reyes, Emma Medina, and Pedro Puente Castillo, will remember his humor, wisdom, and loyalty. His late parents, Zeferino Faz and Amalia Garcia, and brothers, Zeferino Faz Garcia and Jose Luis Faz Garcia, and Jose isabel Faz Garcia. Preceded him in death, and their memories were never far from Jaime’s heart.

Those who knew Jaime well will recall his passion for physical fitness and competition. He was a familiar face at the fieldhouse in Temple, participating in strong man competitions, and he spoke with pride of the time he pulled the cab of an eighteen-wheeler. Jaime was also a devoted fan of sports, particularly of the New Orleans Saints and LSU, and he enjoyed Bonsai cultivation—a testament to his patience and appreciation for life’s details.

Jaime could find amusement in the everyday, delighting in playful arguments with telemarketers and savoring many date nights at local Chinese buffets. He found great joy in spending time at home, which he considered his oasis, watching shows like America’s Got Talent, and spending time with his beloved dogs, all of whom he endearingly called Nona.

Possessed of wit, intelligence, and a social, caring nature, Jaime touched the lives of all who knew him. He maintained close ties with his family, especially his sister Esthela, who he could always rely on for support and understanding.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Young's Daughters Funeral Home & Bereavement Center, located at 4235 E. US Hwy 190, Temple, Texas. A rosary will follow from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the same location. Jaime will be transported to his birthplace for burial at the Municipal Cemetery in Villa De La Paz, Mexico..

Those who knew and loved Jaime Faz Garcia mourn his sudden passing but cherish the memories, love, laughter, and lessons he leaves behind. His life—full of faith, family, devotion, and humor—remains a legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who were privileged to share in it.
