With heavy hearts and deep respect, the family of Karen Lynn Hubble shares news of her passing on Sunday, July 12, 2026, in Waco, Texas. Karen was born on August 27, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. Although her battle with dementia lasted several years, those who knew and loved her remember most the warmth and devotion she shared with family, colleagues, and friends throughout her lifetime.

Karen’s early days were spent on her grandparents’ farm, a nurturing environment where she developed her enduring appreciation for family and a deep connection to the land. She attended Thomas Edison High School and continued her studies at San Antonio College, a testament to her commitment to personal growth and learning.

Professionally, Karen dedicated herself to the field of life insurance, working at USAA as a life insurance underwriter until her retirement. Her career was marked by integrity, diligence, and a steadfast sense of responsibility—a reflection of the values she carried throughout her life.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Karen enriched her life with a variety of pursuits. She was an enthusiastic member of a bowling league, delighting in both the sport and the camaraderie it fostered. Karen was known for her sharp wit and never shied away from a spirited political debate. Her passions, candid opinions, and compassion were evident in every thoughtful, sometimes lively, conversation. She also had a special affinity for plants, finding joy and contentment in nurturing her garden, and she cherished the company of dogs throughout her life.

Above all, Karen was a loving and nurturing presence, motherly to all who crossed her path and always keeping a watchful and caring eye on the children in her life. She celebrated her family’s milestones and moments of togetherness, often capturing these precious times through extensive photo collections—a testament to how deeply she treasured her loved ones.

Karen is survived by her sons: David Cavazos IV, Daniel Cavazos and his wife Aristea, and John Baladez and his wife Johnna; one daughter Stephanie Adams and her husband Thomas; one sister, Mary Lou Miller. Karen’s legacy continues through her five grandchildren, Karleigh Adams, Amelia Adams, Valentina Cavazos, David Cavazos, and Brixton Baladez, whose lives she touched with enduring love and warmth.

Those welcoming her into eternal rest include her parents, Myron and Norma Hubble; her son, Ryan Baladez; her brother, Myron Hubble Jr.; and her sister, Cathie Fuentes. Their memories with Karen remain cherished and everlasting.

Karen Lynn Hubble’s life was marked by steadfast love, spirited conversation, and boundless generosity. She will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but for the profound heart with which she lived each day. In honoring her memory, her family and friends carry forward the compassion, wisdom, and joy she so freely gave.
