Marvin’s professional career spanned an impressive 41 years, during which he demonstrated exceptional expertise and commitment in his work as a refrigeration and air conditioning technician. His passion for his trade was complemented by a heartfelt enthusiasm for selling motorcycles and four-wheelers, a side hobby that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others over shared interests.

His educational journey began at Academy High School, where he not only excelled academically but also showcased his athletic ability through pole vaulting. Following high school, Marvin furthered his education at TSTI in Waco, where he earned his license in Air Conditioning, setting the foundation for a lifelong career.

Marvin’s personal life was a testament to his loving and generous nature. It was on a job site that he met Tracy Carter, the love of his life. Their connection was instant and profound: after asking her out on a date, they moved in together just three days later and spent the next 31 years happily united. Marvin was a man with a big heart and a vibrant personality—goofy at times, yet deeply sincere. His love and commitment to his family were the cornerstones of his life.

Beyond his professional accomplishments and family devotion, Marvin had a number of cherished hobbies and interests that brought him happiness. He enjoyed collecting clocks, and his fashion sense often featured his signature belt buckles and boots. Watches, baseball cards, knick-knacks, and marbles were among the treasured collections he gathered for his grandchildren, reflecting his thoughtful and playful spirit.

Marvin took great pride in his family, the source of his greatest joy and accomplishment. He was an excellent husband who wholeheartedly supported his wife Tracy’s creative pursuits, spoiling her without condition. His life was enriched by the love and companionship he shared with his family, a legacy that will endure through those he leaves behind.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tracy (Carter) Ralston; his father, Kenneth Ralston; three sons, Derek Sherrill and wife Megan, Kolby Ralston and wife Alex, Stephen Ralston; five daughters, Kimberly Ralston, Kaitlen Ralston and husband Justin Grantham, Kaele Sherrill and husband Patrick McGinnis, Kendall Almarez and husband David, Kaslyn Sherrill; three brothers, Kenny Ralston and wife Lisa, JW Ralston and wife Sonja, Bear Haney and wife Jana Haney; two sisters, Donna Kellen and husband Keith, Debbie Haney; and nineteen grandchildren, Carter Sherrill, Zayden Sherrill, Kaslyn Sherrill, Kaylyn Sherrill, Kable Ralston, Blake Ralston, Carlyn Arthur, Jett Ralston, Bella Ralston, Rowen Ralston, Kamri Ralston, Sybil Grantham, Blaze Almaraz, Trip Helmer, Bowen Southerland, Paul Mcginnis, Manny Ralston, Josiah Ralston.

Marvin Russell Ralston’s life was one of enduring love, devoted service, and joyful spirit. He will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, lived fully, and left an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to know him.
