After completing his education, Michael embraced a life of service, enlisting in the Coast Guard. In this role, he demonstrated unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of others—a quality that would remain steadfast throughout his life.
Driven by entrepreneurial spirit, Michael became the owner of Flowbeez, a respected septic system company specializing in building and maintaining both home and commercial properties. Through his leadership, Michael provided reliable services to countless clients, earning respect within his industry and local community.
Michael was not only dedicated to his career but also pursued his interests with heartfelt enthusiasm. He was an avid collector of antiques, especially mining gear, old tools, torches, and lamps. His appreciation of craftsmanship and history shone through his collections, as did his profound love for Native American artwork, which reflected his deep respect for culture and tradition.
Family was a guiding force in Michael’s life. He is survived by his loving father, Charles Smith; his devoted mother, Barbara Smith; his sisters, Peggy Stafford and Lisa Buckingham. Michael was predeceased by his father, Jerry Stafford, whose memory remained a source of strength and inspiration to him.
