It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Pamela Premdass, affectionately known as "Granny," who departed this world peacefully on January 16, 2026, in Harker Heights. Born on May 8, 1949, in Trinidad and Tobago, Pamela’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for family, her passion for cooking, and the joy she found in nurturing relationships.
She was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. She later continued her journey and moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she met & fell in love with her husband, Oswald Peters Jr. They decided to open their very own restaurant called Pete & Pam's Restaurant, where they enjoyed cooking their favorite Trinidadian dishes, such as Roti, Curry chicken, Curry goat, pilaf, macaroni pie, and shepherd's pie.
Their business flourished with love. Memories and relationships were built with strangers who eventually turned into family. After many years of devotion towards the restaurant, they decided it was time to relax and retire from the restaurant scene and moved to the beautiful state of Florida. There, she worked as a Dietary Supervisor at Pines of Sarasota for almost 20 years.
In her free time, she was found beautifying her garden (especially her roses), cooking Trinidadian food for those she loved, and dancing to calypso and soca music. She was a devoted and loving Grandmother to all her Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Was a great woman who always gave her all, even if she didn’t have much to give, and her kindness was always noticed.
She leaves behind her legacy of love, strength, and generosity. It lives on through her grandchildren, her family, the meals she shared, the beautiful memories she created, and the countless lives she touched. May her love continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oswald Peters Jr., and her parents Pearl Stephen and John Walters.
Pamela’s loving spirit will also be cherished by her extended family, including her in-laws Julie and Raymond Gumataotao, Sister at heart Joy Chan Tack, grandchildren-in-law Chloe and Mykai Blas, Crystal and Adrian Arriola, and great-grandchildren-in-law Kai’Ella and Ka’Leila Blas, Amaleah Arriola. Further, she is remembered fondly by her first cousin Alex Stephen and his spouse Razeyah, as well as her niece and nephew Charisma and Dan Ricci, Larry and Amrit Stephen, and her great nieces and nephews Raveena Stephen and Giavanna Ricci.
