Ramon Segovia, 67, a beloved member of Georgetown and Temple community, passed away on September 22, 2023, at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on July 25, 1956, in Temple, Texas to Mr. Juan Segovia and Jesusa "Susie" (O. Montero).

Ramon had a distinguished military career and served his country with honor and dedication. In March of 1977, he enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Supply Management Technician. Over the course of his 20-year service, Ramon traveled extensively and completed tours in North Dakota, Germany, Texas, Korea, and Idaho. After retiring from the Air Force, he returned to Texas and worked at World Market for several years.

Beyond his military service, Ramon was known for his friendly and outgoing personality. He enjoyed being around others and engaging in conversations with people from all walks of life. His warm presence will be dearly missed by the community he called home.

In his free time, Ramon pursued various hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a passion for collecting Marvel comic books and found solace in bird watching. Ramon was also skilled in the kitchen and loved cooking delicious meals for his family and friends. Driving Ford Mustangs was another one of his admired pastimes. Additionally, Ramon was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings and Texas Longhorn football teams play.

Tragically, Ramon's life was cut short while celebrating his 41st wedding anniversary when he took a fatal fall. This devastating incident has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Ramon is survived by his mother Jesusa "Susie" O. Montero; his loving wife of 41 years Janet Renea (Turner) Segovia; their children Allen Segovia and Ashley Segovia; as well as his brother Devin Montero and wife Jeanna; sisters Virginia Willoughby (Danny) and Melinda Montero (Tony Fortiz). He is preceded in death by his father, Luis Montero. Ramon's love and devotion to his family were immeasurable, and his memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones.
