Robert Alan Barger, born on December 19, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. A man known for his dedication and warmth, Robert’s life was marked by his love for family, the outdoors, and a career that reflected his commitment and work ethic.
He grew up enjoying an active youth, playing tennis and practicing Karate, which showed his spirited nature and discipline from a young age. Robert graduated from Paris High School, where his enthusiasm for sports and camaraderie was well known.
Professionally, Robert served as a salesman for Dealers Electric, where he devoted his efforts with sincerity and integrity. His work not only supported him but also provided for the loved ones who meant so much to him.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Robert was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved hunting and fishing, spending many serene moments in nature that brought him peace and fulfillment. Later in life, he developed a passion for collecting coins—a hobby that reflected his appreciation for history and detail. Those who knew him well would often find Robert around town, especially at his favorite restaurant, Longhorn Steak House, where he was a familiar and cherished presence.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Ashely Arms, and her husband Brian; his brother, Larry Barger; and two great-grandchildren, Griffin Arms and Elizabeth Arms. Their lives continue to be touched by his love and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. William Barger and Annice Marie (Walker), whose memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Robert Alan Barger’s life was a testament to quiet strength, cherished relationships, and a deep connection to the world around him. He will be remembered with respect and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
