Guestbook

At Fort Benning, GA in 1968, E-5-1, Sand Hill, then SSG Roosevelt Gelsey was my Drill Sergeant. A young Basic Trainee never forgets his Drill Sergeant. I am sorry to hear of his passing. In the past 50 + years I have thought of him a million times fondly and in great appreciation for all he did to help me grow from boyhood to manhood. He has always been The Perfect Soldier in my heart and mind. I am fortunate to have known him. My thoughts and Prayers go to his family in this time of loss. Drill Sergeant Roosevelt Gelsey was a good man and Patriot.
